Job Summary:

Role in this level have a prime responsibility to ensure plans and schedules are implemented in co-ordination with subordinates on a timely manner. The role holder is accountable for planning input for Workshop under their responsibility during major Turnarounds, in conjunction with Turnaround section. The role holder is also responsible for arranging the required manpower and resources required for carrying out the jobs in coordination with Planning section and Turnaround section, ensure availability of spares and materials, coordination of all logistic activities between both sides.

 

The role holder is required to make weekly reports to develop maintenance activity for Workshop. The role holder will also participate in routine Maintenance activities, as and when required. Follow up on utilization of manpower and resources and adherence to daily, weekly, and yearly plans. The role holder is also responsible for input of data for History, Time entry and closing of Work orders and ensure quality of work orders. The role holder act as the Technical Reference point.

 

The role holder must also ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with QAFCO Occupational Health, Quality, Safety and Environment procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate, so that the team of Technicians assigned to various disciplines/Area of work, carrying out maintenance activities to ensure continuous optimum operating conditions of workshop and that all work meet quality standards.
  • Co-ordinate with Material Management Section/Superior/end users to ensure that all activities are carried out without any disruption to the maintenance plans.
  • Co-ordinate with MRP controller to ensure that required spares are available in time and quantity as per daily, weekly and long-term plan.
  • Ensure that the spares, material, manpower, Equipment are available on a timely basis in coordination with Planning section.
  • Record daily, weekly, and other plans as required for the plant.
  • Maintain time keeping of records of subordinates and hired manpower.
  • Create any required reports to track planned vs actual work progress.
  • Establish methods of document management and retrieval.
  • Prepare periodic management reports.
  • Assist in the establishment of procedures and instructions towards the maintenance of management systems.
  • Input of data for history, time entry and closing of work orders and ensure quality of work orders.
  • Preparation of Risk Analysis, Environment aspects etc.
  • Provide superiors with work status reports to enable effective monitoring of overall progress against agreed plans.
  • Implement actions at plant level and provide feedback.
  • Provide action on completion of work verbally or completing work sheets.
  • Provide necessary inputs/Reports to Superior for the development of operating Budget.
  • Coordinate and guide subordinates to complete the scheduled jobs on time to achieve cost effectiveness.
  • Effective use of ERP – Maintenance management system to record and maintain maintenance plans, raise work orders, generate reports, maintain input of data for History, Time entry and closing of work orders and ensure quality of work orders.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum High National Diploma or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
  • Certification in welding or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years’ direct and relevant experience preferably within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical or Heavy Manufacturing Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) and associated materials.
  • Familiar with industry standards and regulations governing welding practices.
  • Strong supervisory and team management skills.
